January 2016 Release “Dark” Days for the Common Working File (CWF) Hosts

For the upcoming January 2016 Release, CWF will be observing one business “dark” day (Thursday, December 31, 2015). To accommodate the anticipated duration of this activity and to ensure the completion of weekly/monthly/quarterly processing, installation of the January 2016 Release, and scheduled data center maintenance, there will be one business “dark” day on Thursday, December 31, 2015. The CWF Host will also be observing the holiday on Friday, January 1, 2016, so this will also be considered a “dark” day

  • CWF Hosts will hold the claims received from MACs on Wednesday 12/30/2015 and Thursday 12/31/2015.
  • Thursday 12/31/2015, Friday (Holiday) 01/01/2016, and Saturday 01/02/2016 will be “Dark” days for CWF Hosts with no online availability. There will be no access to the HIMR inquiry and BDS transactions, which means that providers and contractors will not have access to the HIMR inquiry.

CWF Hosts will complete the installation of the CWF January 2016 Quarterly Release on 01/03/2016.

Monday (01/04/2016) the online will be available for CWF Host under the January release. CWF Host will receive responses from the Fraud Prevention System (FPS) by the afternoon of 01/04/2016. The FPS response files will be loaded for CWF ISA processing on the night of 01/04/2016. Response files (from December 30th and December 31st) will be sent to contractors in the new version for the MAC’s Tuesday (01/05/2016) night processing.
